Ministry of Music

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.”
-Psalm 96:1-3

Music is a vital part of the worship service and a way of glorifying God. The Adult Choir, which is open to everyone, joyfully praises the Lord in song at the Sunday morning service and at several special services during the year. Joyful Noise, our children’s choir, includes children from kindergarten through sixth grade. It is active throughout the school year, and often participates in the worship service as well as at special services throughout the year

If you enjoy singing and are willing to make the commitment, we would love for you to come sing with the Adult Choir. We have a wonderful time. And as Colossians 3:15-16 states, “…let the Word of Christ rule in you richly as you … sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God”.
Come, let your joy pour out in song.

Adult Choir practices every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., beginning the end of August and going through mid-May. We sing at least three Sundays a month for morning worship services and also for Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday special services.

If you play an musical instrument and would enjoy playing descants for hymns, playing with an ensemble for worship services, or occasionally playing with the Adult Choir for an anthem, we would love to have you join us.

Please contact the Choir Director, Nadya Dubikovsky, if you are interested in learning more about becoming involved in the Adult Choir, either as a singer or an instrumentalist, or in the Joyful Noise. Call 497-8923 or e-mail choirdirector@faithpresbyterian.org.
