Daily Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a highlight of our Christian Education. This program runs for one or two four-day weeks in the summer. All children entering kindergarten through 6th grade are eligible to attend.
Every morning starts with music and prayer along with some memory work and announcements. Everyone is together in the sanctuary at this time. After this, each child will attend two different classes for stories, have a snack and recreation time, and a craft time. Free moments are spent learning scriptures.
All stories, scriptures, crafts, music, games and even sometimes snacks are relevant to the topic being studied. Much care and planning goes into seeing that every activity reinforces the stories and messages taught.
At the end of the Vacation Church School, the parents are invited to a program. This is a meaningful wrap-up and always provides a good time. The enthusiasm among teachers and children is infectious. Every year we end by looking forward to the next year.
