Worship
Sunday Worship Service begins at 9:30 in the sanctuary. The emphasis in our worship is on prayer, praise, and preaching. The sermons are based on scripture and are intended to give insight into God's Word, along with its application to daily living. We celebrate communion during Worship Services on the first Sunday of each month, as well as during special services during the year.
During worship, nursery care is available in the infant nursery for infants to 2 1/2 year olds, and in the toddler nursery for ages 2 to kindergarten. School age children are with their parents in worship. After the worship service, the congregation enjoys a time of fellowship.
Sunday School for all ages, from pre-school through adults, is offered from 11:00 to 12:00. During this time, nursery care is available for infants to 3 years of age.
Music is a vital part of the worship service and a way of glorifying God. The adult choir, which is open to everyone, joyfully praises the Lord in song on Sunday mornings, leads the congregation in worship, and sings for several special services during the year. Joyful Noise, our children's choir, includes children from kindergarten through sixth grade. It is active throughout the school year, and participates often in the worship services and other special programs.
Morning Prayers are held each Wednesday at the church from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m., featuring a service of scripture reading, singing, and prayer. The third Wednesday of the month we celebrate communion. Prayers are followed by fellowship and a light breakfast.
Special services are held several times a year, including:
- Maundy Thursday
- An outdoor worship service on July 4th weekend
- Thanksgiving Eve -
- Christmas Eve -
